Blight

blight is usually cause by fungi that stop the tree from efficently absorbing light or processing nutrients a copper based fungiside is usually the best cause of action but it will need regular maintenance for the next 2 growing seasons before it will recover fully

Wilt

Is usually caused by a soil-bourne fungus or bacteria. wilt cannon be cured but airaiting and fetralising the soil can promote root growth and over time the tree may be able to re-gain it strength

Rust

rust is caused by a fungus that thrives under the bark of trees it can first be seen attacking the leaves and can be cured by cutting off the infected branches

wet wood

wetwood is caused by a bacteria that causes the trees cell to over saturate this leads to weeping wounds on the bark. a bore hole can help drain the bacteria and fertalising the soil to restore nutrients back into the tree can help the tree to recover for its-self but there is no certain cure

Galls

galls are abnormal growths on the leaves or twigs that can be caused by and incest or parasitic fungus that are feeding on the tree if it is a fungal infection the the cure will be a copper and sulpher based spray applied throughout the growing season or if it is mite then a aphid targeted insecticide one a month should clear the infestation

Mould

Moulds can look very unsightly but rarely does it damage the tree unless it starts to shroud the limb. mould are spread by honeydew excreating insects that provide the food for the moulds to grow as such use of a pestiside / insecticide combined with manual removal is the best cure

lichen

lichen are a composite organism of fungus and algae. They are non-harmful to your trees and can infact be benificial. but sometimes excess groth of lichen can be unsightly and can be manually removed

anthracnose

Anthracnose is a fungal disease that affects plants by forming dead areas on leaves and fruit. it leaves dark black sport on the leaves and can be cured using a copper or sulpher based spray for the duration of the growing season
